Gimme a Break!!!

Round Up - Last Weekend

Liverpool's first goal was scored thanks to Mascherano diving and winning them a freekick. Their second goal was scored thanks to Lucas assisting Dirk Kuyt with his hand. They win 3-1.

United are awarded "a controversial penalty" one week after they were denied a stonewall pen against Everton, which cost them their place in the FA Cup final. They then go on to play the best football United fans have seen all season scoring a further four goals. They win 5-2. Yet for some reason the media claim Howard Webb has handed us the title, with no mention of Liverpool's good fortune a few hours earlier.

Liverpool are the media darlings, whilst Manchester United have to settle for being Champions. It's a hard life.

whining and diving is something ronaldo does as publicly stated by your beleved manager.

and pls stop extracting from mails,comments etc they almost always tend to be biased.

accept the truth.manU do get some amount of preferential treatment.They do play some wonderful stuff but the likes of riley and webb seem to have a soft corner for fergie.almost every manager in the league have said it by now.

If you say that its loser's grouse,why dint anyone complain the same when chelsea won two seasons in a row.It is a legitimate claim.

@praveen
1. "Biased" is not going to be a problem coz my blog has not promised anything neutral and it is a place to express my opinions or opinions that match mine.
2. Much is talked about the back to back titles won by United and not about chelsea couple of years back because no one really cared. Count the number of fans they have. What does the media achieve in hyping about something that no one is going to care about?
3. How many controversial liverpool incidents have been mentioned this season and how many of them have been made big like this penalty now? Is nt there a bias?
4. Just because ronaldo dives, count the number of genuine free kicks and penaties that were denied to him this season. Is nt there a bias?

To sum it up. The concept of somebody handing over the title to manchester united is meaningless. Referees are humans and The Red Devils are delivering to achieve their rare premier league hattrick!!

amen

1.there are very little controversial incidents reported in the media about Liverpool because they arent any and not because of any bias.

2.and the free kicks/pen denied to ronaldo - i cant remember too many in that category.

3.as to chelsea not being media hot,when jose was there chelsea were red hot gossip material.Everyone loved to hate them and yet it was not mentioned that the refs favored them.Ditto for Arsenal. If an argument has to be constructed pls do so in a logical manner.

@praveen

Arguments on the comments column of this post is n't going to carry forward anything.Let the loserfools talk on the pitch..We win it consistently at the end of the day. luck and favoritism cant win it season by season.

praveen said...

unfortunately it can when the opposition have a manager who takes turns to be a genius and a fool.

Unknown said...

Sir has never been less than genius...count the 22 years one by one and talk of one notable downfall.

praveen said...

dei i was talking about rafa da.

Navin said...

From the very same F365, you quote, match report : "The very simple laws of physics and the direction of the ball travelling would have injected sense into any school kid that the ball last touched Gomes's hand" .

As for the battle on here, there are mistakes and then there is "bias" , repeated evidence and instances have clearly pointed to us of which kind Howard Webb / Mike Riley fall into .

Unknown said...

@Praveen

However rhythmic Rafa can be in his alternating between foolishness and Genius, It is highly impractical to suggest that a team wins thrice continuously out of luck and favoritism from 2 out of 10-15 referees (who officiate throughout the season).

@Naveen

Like i said the same forum has a lot more and what i agreed upon came on my post. Simple i dint give a damn to those other comments which dint make any sense to me. The argument here is reaching meaningless heights due to lack of respect to a league hat trick that this spoken about team is all set to achieve.

praveen said...

look up the no of matches that riley and webb have officiated for man U and also webb is considered the best ref in town,if he does things like this you can assume what the others will be like.
and as for the title hat trick respect comes for honesty and not for stealing kids from other clubs and def not winning with the help of refs.
eg.pen vs spurs,extra time vs aston villa,vidic not even carded for a horror tackle on martins,west ham fined and scolded for employing tevez while he continues to play for ManU under the same conditions,in the aston villa match only some 3-4 calls as offside when they were not i can go on.

praveen said...

also the behavior of fergie in not letting heinze join liverpool when he wanted to...accusing real madrid of tapping up ronaldo all the while doing the same to berbatov...his constant hypocrisy in blaming the refs,the pitch and anything except accepting defeat...his over-confidence in claiming barca to be the biggest threat this season...who will respect you if you behave this way.

Unknown said...

For simple reasons, i am stopping myself from going on like the way you tried. There are such incidences for liverpool too...like the benayoun extra time winner the same week when man u beat villa.we stay decent and try not to mention such things and avoid playing a blame game coz after all we win it at the end of the day!!! But if need be i can cite such things about your season too. Decency is a virtue that i value.

Cheers
Pradeep

benayoun extra time winner against fulham?????? we were allotted 3 mins and after we scored the stupid ref actually extended it to 4min.And 3 min after a game with 10-13 corners is valid in my opinion.

and if you virtue decency you wouldnt have posted a comment in your blog in the first place.just like said hypocrite.

Boys, dont stop now :) ...you are carrying on great...only solution is to start supporting bayern munich ... :P

Unknown said...

@ vijay:

Welcome psyche!!! Even after an IIM A admit, the fact that u come back from office so late in the night made me believe you would nt have time to read blogs n all. But yea you ve managed to...And about Bayern Munich, i would ve appreciated a better suggestion like Aston Villa or Everton or something. Coz i can't see how you can forget the "knock out" that you had to sponsor after the mauling in CL Last round. Bayern still????

vijay said...

Form is temporary, class is permanent .. :)

Unknown said...

@vijay

Hehe..mani was thinking of throwing away ur lone bayern jersey. I should tell him how staunch a supporter u r. He does nt seem to know

vijay said...

dei that munich jersey is worth more than mani's manu and liverpool jersey put together !!!!!!!!!(literally):D.....
which reaffirms my point..

Unknown said...

hehe...shall tell him to refrain!!!..after all it came from the showroom!!!unlike his!!!

vijay said...

let us not get into trivial details like that :) ..
But before I enterd I think a manu -liverpool debate was going on.. plz carry on..the second place still has to be decided :P

vijay said...

A small contribution from my side as to why i think manu might have a slight advantage on the claim to second best dude team...

two letters..CR
Reason: dude ronaldo has more gfs than entire liverpool team and coaching staff put together..

my 2 cents on his diving skills
tis natural considering the amount of practice he must have had diving into beds..

Unknown said...

@vijay

a quintuple was missed by a whisker and you are taking of a second place??now give me and praveen-both a break. liverpool and man u are way ahead. And with your entry, i ve lost mood to argue against a liverpool supporter. i reckon praveen feels the same way

praveen said...

top ronaldo facts
1.ronaldo destroyed the periodic table, because he only recognizes the element of surprise.
2.ronaldo is suing Myspace for taking the name of what he calls everything around you.
3.ronaldo can score two goals with one shot
4.There are no races, only countries of people ronaldo has cheated already.
5.Scientists have estimated that the energy given off during the Big Bang is roughly equal to 1CRFK (Ronaldo Free Kick)
6.ronaldo is so fast he can score a goal before he gets the ball
7.why does ronaldo go with a different girl every week-girls dont want to see him after "he" dives in bed.

praveen said...

Newton's Third Law is wrong: Although it states that for each action, there is an equal and opposite reaction, there is no force equal in reaction to a Ronaldo whine.

vijay said...

ahhhhhh, liverpool seems to have more strnegth in the ranks than Manu :D

vijay said...

The admiration for ronaldo's multiple skills transcends club loyalties... :D

praveen said...

There are no weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, Ronaldo lives in manchester.

vijay said...

I think pradeep's reaction is going to be..................................................................

"Gimme a Break!!!"

lol...

praveen said...

lmao...nice one

vijay said...

Thanks da..
Was it like CR's deft left pass or the much hyped CRFK(are u sure u havent missed a couple of letters there..) ??

Unknown said...

Boys, I dont need a break now.I took one already. Workload at office sigh!!1 :-(... I let it go coz the only Man U player who i dont give a damn about is CR. So u guys have fun in my space.

Navin said...

While, the joke is on Ronaldo, let us see how all the scores of Man U fans can so easily switch him between the roles of a mercenary to a saviour every time a tabloid of the news of his girlfriend liking Madrid. Throughout last summer, all that you wanted was for the unfaithful idiot to leave and now he is your saviour.

Respect is when you earn the title, not when you are plain downright lucky to win the title. (for 3 freaking times !*!)

vijay said...

:D, maybe later on we can continue this discussion..had a nice one hour break..

Thanks boys..

@pradeep,Are you sure praveen hasnt mispelt CRFK..still have doubts..

Unknown said...

@ navin

Entry after a long time and a blasphemy. How can you be so illogical. I never thought you would be. Anyways, if you forgot our savior is MACH MACH MACHEDA!!!!where did CR7 come in this season. We r still ruing the fact tht we missed a whopping 70 million last time...

Unknown said...

@ psyche:

Praveen has to take that up. I REALLY DONT KNOW

praveen said...

crfk - christiano ronaldo free kick

praveen said...

if the audience demand we can shift the focus to rooney and macheda

Navin said...

The typical Man U fan , last year he was the hero, celebrated and star to adorn the OT pitch and this year he is your most "uncared about" player.

I wonder what will happen when there is a fake story about Machakkaran Macheda , hate him and next year sing praises of Danny Welbeck for deflecting a shot going nowhere into the goal ?

vijay said...

ok sorry one last comment before I leave.couldnt resist...
Rooney is cool..seriously..

Macheda needs to buy havells' switches if he wants that hair to come down soon...

Unknown said...

@Navin

Oh Oh!!! Hold on...to your surprise my best player of the season last year was scholes for the second half and carrick for the first half...Ronaldo was just a tool used to tap the ball into the net. The architect is who i adore!!!...so he was nt celebrated last year either. only the media did it. Not many man u fans did!!..
